Test Automation Engineer (m/f)

Your tasks:

  • You work closely with developers and Product Managers in a cross-functional agile team, to ensure a high standard of quality in both customer-facing and internal software
  • You strive to not only test the product, but rather to have a deep understanding of it and actively participate in discussions about how it should evolve
  • You find ways to optimize the QA effort by innovating and leveraging existing tools and processes
  • You have a sense of ownership for software quality and take your responsibilities from that
  • You feel like quality is a shared responsibility among the team and strive to make it part of everyone's daily tasks
  • You perform manual and automated test in multiple environments including web, iOS and Android
  • You recognize potential risks and review them with the team
  • You make test results and metrics visible to the whole team because you understand that transparency is key to improvement
  • Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is changed
  • You find and re-test bugs and defects, and document using a bug-tracking tool


Your profile:

  • You are an engineer at heart, but testing is your passion
  • You have professional experience in QA methodology, testing philosophies, techniques and tools (Selenium, Geb, Spock, TestRail, Jira or similar), including Test Management, Continuous Integration, Agile Project Management, and Bug/Issue-Tracking Tools)
  • You have experience in at least one programming language (e.g. Groovy, Java, Kotlin, Scala)
  • You have experience in Test Automation
  • You are familiar with SQL databases
  • You have knowledge or experience working with Agile software development methodologies
  • You consider yourself a team player and an agile tester instead of quality police
  • You have excellent conceptual and analytical skills
  • You're detail oriented and have an inquiring mind
  • You have good communication skills and you're comfortable using English in the workplace
  • You take continuous improvement as a personal goal, and work with the team to propose changes and improvements
